FAQ
LED Lighting Technology
Our mirror electronics are technically able to operate in a range of 0 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, but we discourage operating the mirrors at the extremes of this range. Our mirrors are not designed to be operated out of doors and they are not waterproof, but they are manufactured to withstand steamy conditions in the bathroom with lifetime moisture-proof backing. Installation should be indoors and not immediately inside a shower/tub area.
Our LED mirrors are not configured with wall outlet plugs. However, it is very easy to connect a plug to our LED mirror wiring.
Most of our small and medium sized front-lighted rectangular LED mirrors and LED medicine cabinets include switches, which are mounted along the bottom side of the mirror frame. Our side-lighted rectangular mirrors, round mirrors, and oval mirrors do NOT include switches.
If your front-lighted rectangular mirror does not come with a switch, we offer an available switch upgrade to install a switch. If you do not have a wall switch to connect to your mirror, and you need to have a separate switch capability, we offer an upgrade to install a Remote Control Switch / Dimming option.

Our LED mirrors are not dimmable in our standard configuration. However, we offer three upgrade options that are available for most of our mirrors:
The Color Rendering Index is a scale from 0 to 100 percent indicating how accurate a light source is at rendering color. The higher the CRI, the better the color rendering ability. Light sources with a CRI of 85 or better are considered very good at color rendering. CRI is independent of color temperature, and is the same for our standard 6000 Kelvin LED strips and also for our 3000 Kelvin LED strips which are an available option for most of our LED mirrors.
Our LED mirrors come standard with 6000 Kelvin color LED strips, which we feel provides optimal "natural daylight" light for makeup and grooming applications. We also offer a 3000 Kelvin Upgrade (not available for LED medicine cabinets). As you can see in the chart below, 3000 Kelvin provides a "warmer" yellowish light more like a standard incandescent light bulb. The warmer color temperature helps you to see how you would look under softer lighting conditions. Which LED color option you choose is a matter of personal taste, options provide the same brightness (lumens) based on the size of the mirror.
LED mirrors are designed to provide optimal light conditions for the person standing in front of the mirror, to help with grooming and makeup activities. The LED light is a diffuse light that is not intended to be the primary lighting in the room, and the light projects straight forward through the frosted glass, it does not project into the corners of the room. We strongly recommend including additional ceiling or wall lighting to serve as the primary lighting in the bathroom.
However, we do offer a 2x LED Brightness upgrade which doubles the brightness of your LED by installing a second LED strip on your LED mirror frame. This upgrade will effectively double the brightness of your mirror output. Typically customers who install this upgrade will also order a Dimmable Power Regulator upgrade to allow control of the LED lighting brightness using a compatible wall dimmer switch (not included).
Regardless of whether you choose to install the upgrade, we still strongly recommend also having separate primary lighting in your bathroom.

No. We do not recommend using a LED Mirror as the only source of light in a bathroom. We recommend having an overhead lighting in addition to LED Mirrors to create ideal conditions in your space.
The LED Mirror is the next generation of Mirror and Lighting integration. It can eliminate the need for wall lighting usually found above traditional mirrors, and brings a clean and modern look to any bathroom.
Sensor Switch
Inyouths LED mirrors have two kinds of sensor switches. One is the human sensor switch, which controls the mirror light by detecting human movements.
The other one is the sweep hand sensor, which adjusts the mirror light by detecting hand movements.
If you choose a human sensor switch, the answer is yes, the LED light will automatically turn on when you get close to the mirror (24 - 39 inches). And the LED light will automatically turn off in 60 seconds when you leave the LED mirror.
If you choose a sweep hand sensor switch, you need to wave your hand near the bottom center of the LED mirror, so that the LED light will turn on.
Both the sweep hand sensor switch and human sensor switch are located on the bottom center of the mirror face (please refer to the product for its exact position).
Yes, you can choose an LED mirror with a touch switch.
Demister Pad
Inyouths LED mirrors are completely anti-fog when you turn on the heating mat to prevent the mirror from steaming. We will customize the demister as per the size of the LED mirror you choose, so that you can defog the whole mirror. Only the locations with additional features like Makeup Mirror, Clock, or WiFi Weather Station installed are excluded.
The demister is controlled by a dedicated touch switch. When fog appears on the mirror,
press the touch button, and the fog on the mirror will be gradually removed.
Yes, the temperature will arrive at 10℃ - 20℃, and you can touch the mirror and not get hurt by the temperature.

With Bluetooth, you can pair one device at a time. You can pair as many devices as you like – the number is endless. If there are several previously paired devices in close proximity, it will pair to the closest/strongest signal one first and all other would be excluded. You would have to disable Bluetooth in the first paired device, if you wanted to switch to another preferred device.
Mirror Glass
Different kinds of glass can be used for mirrors, each offering unique benefits. Here’s a look at some of the most popular types of mirror glass we have applied on our mirrors.
Standard Glass
Standard glass is the most common type of mirror glass. It’s made from float glass, which is created by pouring molten glass onto a flat surface. This type of glass is lightweight and inexpensive, making it a good choice for budget-friendly mirrors. However, standard glass is also more likely to break and shatter than other types of mirror glass.
Tempered Glass
Tempered glass is stronger and more durable than standard glass. It’s made by heating float glass to high temperatures and cooling it rapidly. This process creates a glass up to four times stronger than standard glass. Tempered glass is a good choice for mirrors in high-traffic areas or homes with children and pets.
Low-E Glass
Low-E glass is specially coated to reflect heat and UV rays. This makes it a good choice for energy-efficient homes. Low-E glass can also help reduce glare and furniture and carpeting fading.
Antique Mirror Glass
Antique mirror glass has a unique, aged look that can add character to any space. It’s made by applying a metallic oxide film to the surface of the mirror glass. This film tarnishes over time, creating an antique look.
Beveled Glass
Beveled glass is a type of mirror glass that has been cut and polished to create a decorative edge. Beveled mirrors are often used as accent pieces or to add visual interest to a space.
Fog-Free Glass
Fog-free glass is a special mirror glass that prevents condensation and fogging. It’s made with a hydrophobic coating that repels water vapor. Fog-free mirrors are a good choice for bathrooms and other high-humidity areas.
Safety Mirror Glass
Safety mirror glass is designed to reduce the risk of injury if the mirror breaks. It’s made with a safety backing that holds the broken pieces in place. Safety mirror glass is a good choice for homes with children and pets.
Solar Mirror Glass
Solar mirror glass is specially coated to reflect sunlight. It’s often used in solar panels and other solar energy applications. Solar mirror glass can also be used to create interesting architectural effects.
One-Way Mirror Glass
One-way mirror glass is a mirrored glass that allows you to see out but prevents others from seeing in. It’s made by applying a thin, transparent film to the surface of the mirror glass. One-way mirrors are often used in security applications, such as ATMs, jewelry stores, and banks.
Mirror Frame
No, we have two different categories of mirrors, one is with frame and one is frameless.
Inyouths LED mirrors with frame are mostly made of metal frames, especially aluminum alloy. This corrosion-resistant metal frame provides a sophisticated and modern finish to our lighted mirrors, perfectly add to your elegant and contemporary décor. Each frame is built to last and provides ample protection to the mirror's edge, preventing chips and breaks.
