Description

A full-depth soak under 60 inches.

Shorter tubs usually surrender depth along with length — you fit the room and end up with water at your waist. TORVAN doesn't. The interior runs 17.5 inches deep, matching tubs eight inches longer, with water sitting at 14.13 inches.

The base is inset nearly 10 inches at each end, so the tub reads as floating rather than sitting. In a small room that matters more than it sounds: a full-length plinth makes the floor look shorter, while a visible run of tile under the ends makes it look longer. It also means you can mop right under the tub instead of around it.

At 0.39 inches the wall is deliberately thin, which keeps the tub lighter to move — worth having when the route in is tight, which in a bathroom this size it usually is. It's still stone resin, so it holds heat and doesn't flex.

Best for: a compact bathroom where you refuse to give up a proper soak.

Why Choose a Solid Surface Bathtub?

The water stays warm

The water stays warm

The most common regret with a freestanding tub is that the bath goes cold before you're ready to get out. Thin acrylic sheds heat to the room fast — a soak can turn lukewarm inside twenty minutes unless you keep topping it up. Solid surface is dense. It draws very little warmth out of the water as you fill, then gives back what it holds slowly, and the tub itself feels warm against your back from the first minute instead of cold.

Scratches sand out

The color runs through the full thickness of the material, not just across the surface. Mark it, and you work it back with the fine sandpaper in the box — what's underneath is the same color. On acrylic, damage that goes through the gel coat is permanent. Five years in, that's the difference between a tub that still looks new and one you've stopped showing people.

Solid underfoot, and not slippery

Solid underfoot, and not slippery

Molded as a single piece on a wide base, there's no flex and no wobble when you step in. The matte surface has a smooth, stone-like feel designed for everyday bathing comfort.

Seamless, non-porous, easy to keep

Seamless, non-porous, easy to keep

No joins, no seams, no silicone lines inside the tub. The surface doesn't absorb water, so soap film and hard-water deposits wipe off rather than working their way in, and there's nowhere for mildew to take hold. Designed for indoor installation — outdoor use falls outside the limited warranty.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Checks before you order

Confirm the route in, drain position, and everyday fit before delivery day.

The route in. This one is marginal.

With a 30.7 in width, TORVAN should be planned for a 36 in or wider doorway. Please measure the clear opening, hallway turns, and stair clearance before delivery.

Your height.

At 59 inches this suits bathers up to around 5'8" for full leg extension. Taller and you'll soak with knees bent — comfortable, but look at LUNARA 65" or LYCARA if stretching out matters.

Your drain line.

Center drain, straightforward for a like-for-like replacement.

Small-room clearance.

Leave 4 inches minimum at the sides. The inset base means you can mop right under the ends, which helps in a tight room where every inch of floor is doing work.

BUYING & CARE GUIDE

TORVAN Bathtub FAQs

Helpful answers for choosing, installing, and caring for your new bathtub.

Is it deep enough at only 59 inches?

Yes — 17.5 inches inside, which is as deep as tubs eight inches longer. Length limits how far you stretch; it doesn't limit depth.

Will it fit through a 30-inch door?

With a 30.7 in width, TORVAN should be planned for a 36 in or wider doorway. Please measure the clear opening, hallway turns, and stair clearance before delivery.

Is a 0.39-inch wall too thin?

Its slim rim profile is a deliberate choice for a tub that usually goes into a tight space. Stone resin at this thickness is still rigid, with no flex on the rim.

Is it delivered inside my house?

To your door, by freight, with a signature required. The driver won't bring it into the bathroom. On one level a furniture dolly handles it; upstairs you'll want several people.

Do I need a plumber?

Recommended but not required. Nothing needs assembling. If your waste is already centered and you've done this before, it's a manageable DIY job.

Can I use my existing faucet?

Only if it's floor-mounted or wall-mounted. There are no holes in the rim, so a deck-mounted faucet won't fit.

Is the surface slippery?

No. The matte finish has a smooth, stone-like feel underfoot. Use normal bathing care when entering and leaving the tub.

Can it go on an upper floor?

In most modern homes, yes — filled, the load is comparable to several people standing in one spot. In an older house with original joists, have your contractor confirm before delivery.

What if it arrives damaged?

Photograph the crate before opening, tell us within 48 hours, keep the packaging. We replace it and cover the shipping.
