The most common regret with a freestanding tub is that the bath goes cold before you're ready to get out. Thin acrylic sheds heat to the room fast — a soak can turn lukewarm inside twenty minutes unless you keep topping it up. Solid surface is dense. It draws very little warmth out of the water as you fill, then gives back what it holds slowly, and the tub itself feels warm against your back from the first minute instead of cold.
The color runs through the full thickness of the material, not just across the surface. Mark it, and you work it back with the fine sandpaper in the box — what's underneath is the same color. On acrylic, damage that goes through the gel coat is permanent. Five years in, that's the difference between a tub that still looks new and one you've stopped showing people.
Molded as a single piece on a wide base, there's no flex and no wobble when you step in. The matte surface has a smooth, stone-like feel designed for everyday bathing comfort.
No joins, no seams, no silicone lines inside the tub. The surface doesn't absorb water, so soap film and hard-water deposits wipe off rather than working their way in, and there's nowhere for mildew to take hold. Designed for indoor installation — outdoor use falls outside the limited warranty.

ELVORA uses a centered drain. If your existing drain line is already centered, installation planning is more straightforward; otherwise, plan the move with your plumber before delivery day.
If depth is the point, LYCARA is an inch deeper inside. If a full-size rectangle at the best price is the point, this is it — same material, same finish, simpler interior geometry.
With a 29.5 in width, ELVORA should be planned for a 32 in or wider doorway. Please measure the clear opening, hallway turns, and stair clearance before delivery.
Straight sides look best parallel to a wall. Leave 4–6 inches for cleaning access.
